The Ranch Hand Program

The Ranch Hand Program includes teens who have knowledge of horsemanship and horse care and want to expand their skills and experience. Also who have a desire to learn more on camp ministry and have a heart for discipleship.

The Ranch Hand's begins early in the morning and often times runs late into the evening. There service is hard and often get to enjoy some activities at camp. If you live locally we ask that you are dropped off in the morning and picked up in the afternoon or evening. There are times when they are given the privilege of staying the night. This is based on camp needs, behavior/attitude, parental permission and location of ranch hands home.

This year we will be taking a more discipleship based approach with our Ranch Hands.  These girls will have their own program, lessons and bible study each day. We hope that this year we can pour more into our Ranch Hands spiritually than ever before at Shekinah Ranch. The program consists of day and evening bible study and an hour of worship and intensive personal bible study. To help with the cost of meals, accommodation, Godly adult supervision, riding lesson time and the Shekinah Experience.  We ask for a one hundred dollar suggested donation per week.  Also we ask that you help cover the cost of the curriculum and handouts for our discipleship program. During the orientation day and meal in the evening on May 26th we will expound more.

Who May Participate?

This program is seniority based and only ten spots are available each week. Returning ranch hand's have first priority and are always called first to help.
